Granite and Quartz Worktops are highly resistant materials and can withstand knocks, scratches and heat to a certain extent.

Heat proof is when you drop a pan on the surface for a short while, a coffee cup is split, an oven pan is placed on the surface for a few seconds. Heat proof does not mean that you should place hot pans straight onto the surface.

You can purchase hot rod grids like in picture at the top that can be moved around your kitchen easily.

Or you can purchase self adhesive rods which you can stick onto your surfaces.
