KITCHEN WORKTOPS HERTFORDSHIRE
Bespoke granite, quartz and porcelain across the county
We design, fabricate and install bespoke stone worktops across the whole of Hertfordshire, from the market towns of the north to the commuter belt of the south. One workshop, one team, every postcode in the county.
Hertfordshire is one of the most varied counties in the south-east when it comes to kitchens. The medieval market towns of Hitchin and Hertford, the Roman cathedral city of St Albans, the Edwardian commuter belt of Harpenden and Berkhamsted, the original garden city at Welwyn, the new towns of Stevenage and Hemel Hempstead, the affluent villages of Radlett and Chorleywood, and the urban centres of Watford and Hemel all sit within the same county boundary. Our work reflects that range.
Our workshop is based in Nazeing on the eastern edge of the county. From there, no Hertfordshire postcode is more than around 35 miles away, and we run the M25, A1(M), A414 and A10 regularly to template and install across the county. We’ve been fitting worktops in Hertfordshire for over a decade and have completed projects in nearly every town listed below, with several featured on our portfolio.
Whether you’re working with a Hertfordshire kitchen designer, a builder running an extension or new build, or you’re sourcing the worktop yourself, we’re happy to come out for a free, no-obligation template and quote anywhere in the county.
Worktops we install across Hertfordshire
Most Hertfordshire kitchens we work on land somewhere in the quartz, granite or porcelain family. The choice usually comes down to look, feel and how the space is used day to day.
Quartz worktops are by far the most popular choice across Hertfordshire. Hard-wearing, almost zero maintenance and available in everything from clean Carrara whites to dramatic veined slabs. Our Artemistone range covers the marble-effect options most homeowners are drawn to, and works equally well in the Edwardian villas of Harpenden, the garden-city homes of Welwyn and the contemporary new-builds of Stevenage.
Granite worktops are a natural stone with proper character. Ideal if you want depth, movement and the kind of detail no two slabs share. A particularly strong fit for the period and conservation-area properties of Hertford, Berkhamsted, St Albans and Hitchin where natural stone reads as right for the building.
Porcelain and sintered stone are increasingly popular with the architects we work with on contemporary Hertfordshire extensions and new-builds. Lightweight, full-body and suitable for outdoor kitchens too, a frequent request from clients with the larger gardens common across much of the county.
Wherever in Hertfordshire you are, we hold a comprehensive sample library and are happy to bring colours and finishes out to your home so you can see them against your cabinetry, flooring and lighting before you commit.
Recent Hertfordshire project: Artemistone Schilthorn
One of our recent Hertfordshire installations was finished in Artemistone Schilthorn Quartz. A bright, light-grey stone with fine consistent veining that reads as crisp and contemporary without the stark feel of a pure white.
Schilthorn is a popular choice across the county, particularly in the contemporary new-build kitchens we see across Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City and the Hemel Hempstead and Watford edges. It pairs especially well with handleless cabinetry in white, soft grey or natural oak.

Hertfordshire worktop FAQs
Which Hertfordshire postcodes do you cover?
All of them. We work across AL, EN, HP, SG, WD and the parts of CM that fall in Hertfordshire, including Harpenden, St Albans, Hertford, Bishop’s Stortford, Hitchin, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Rickmansworth, Radlett and Potters Bar. Each town has a dedicated page below.
How long does the process take from quote to installed worktop?
Once we’ve templated your kitchen (usually around two weeks after your cabinetry is in place), fabrication takes 7 to 10 working days. The installation itself is completed in a single day, so you’re not left without a working kitchen for any longer than necessary.
How far across Hertfordshire do you really travel?
All of it. Our nearest Hertfordshire postcode (Hertford) is around 10 miles from the workshop, our furthest (Berkhamsted and Tring) around 35. We run the M25, A1(M), A414 and A10 weekly for templating and installation work and the process is the same wherever in the county you are: free templating, fixed quote, single-day fit.
Do you work on listed and conservation-area properties?
Yes. Hertfordshire has one of the highest concentrations of listed properties of any county we cover, particularly in Hitchin, St Albans, Hertford, Berkhamsted and Welwyn Garden City. For older homes we tend to recommend honed-finish quartz or natural granite for a look that feels right alongside original features but handles modern family use.
Do you offer free quotes anywhere in Hertfordshire?
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation quotes for any worktop project in the county. You can submit measurements and your stone choice through our online quote form, or arrange a home visit if you’d prefer to discuss options in person.
What guarantee do you offer?
All our worktops come with a 10-year guarantee. We’re Checkatrade-approved with hundreds of completed projects across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties.
